Time Out Youth offers support, advocacy, and opportunities for personal development and social interaction to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth ages 13 – 23.
-Provide a safe environment for LGBTQ youth and their allies by fostering interaction, learning and affirmation.
-Build a youth’s self-concept to its fullest potential through uniquely targeted programming.
-Offer diverse opportunities for group activities that are open to all and closed to none.
-Promote awareness, understanding, acceptance and inclusion for LGBTQ youth.

SafeSpace is a weekly gathering of LGBTQ and allied youth 16-23 who get together to share their experiences, express their feelings, and find encouragement among their peers.

Founded in June of 2000, we are the longest running transgender support group in South Carolina. We offer a place where all members of the transgender community can gather to assist and support each other on our respective journeys. We are an open non-restrictive group, welcoming everyone from the occasional crossdresser to post-op MTF and FTM transsexuals.
Meetings are held the second Saturday of each month, from 9:00 to 11:00 PM, in a secure Charleston area location.
